Stakeholder consultation for July 2018 update
The next update to the STSOL and MLTSSL will occur in July 2018. The Department of Jobs and Small Business is conducting a review of the skilled migration occupation lists prior to this update and will consult with stakeholders during this process.
In the coming months, the Department will publish a Traffic Light Bulletin of occupations, indicating the outcomes of its initial labour market analysis. The Traffic Light Bulletin shows the occupations that are flagged for a change in status based on the Department’s labour market analysis.
At this stage, the Department is not seeking public submissions through its website. It will open the website for formal submissions following the conclusion of its labour market analysis.
Please feel free to engage with the Department at any time during this review. You can email us at SkilledMigrationList@jobs.gov.au. More details of the consultation process will be published on this webpage in the coming weeks.
In November 2017 the Department published a Traffic Light Bulletin which shows the proposed changes and invited stakeholders to provide feedback to the Department.
The submission period to provide feedback on the Traffic Light Bulletin has now closed and the submissions received through this process are now available online.
