Enterprise Agreements Data

The Department of Jobs and Small Business and the Fair Work Commission compile and publish reports on federal enterprise agreements in Australia.

Workplace Agreements Database

Australian Enterprise Agreement Data is collected in the Workplace Agreements Database (WAD).

The Workplace Agreements Database was established after the commencement of formal enterprise bargaining in federal workplace relations in 1991, and contains information about every federal collective agreement made since.

This unique database provides data on developments in coverage, wage increases and conditions of employment included in federal collective agreements.

Further information about the Workplace Agreements Database is available.

Reports on Enterprise Agreements and Bargaining include:

Trends in Federal Enterprise Bargaining

Trends in Federal Enterprise Bargaining (Trends) is a quarterly report containing data on the number of enterprise agreements made in the federal workplace relations system, the number of employees covered and the level of wage increases included in collective agreements.

The reports are published approximately every three months; the most recent report is from the June Quarter 2018 which was published on 16 November, 2018.

To interpret data correctly it is important to read the technical notes.

Previous Trends and further information about the report is also available.

Report on Agreement Making

The Report on Agreement Making (RAM) fulfills the requirements of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (WR Act) to provide data on developments in enterprise bargaining over a three year period.

Reports are available in the resources section or by contacting ebtrends@jobs.gov.au to request a copy.

Since the establishment of the Fair Work Act in 2009, the Fair Work Commission is required to review the developments in making enterprise agreements, replacing the RAM report. The Fair Work Commission has recently released the General Manager’s report into enterprise agreement-making in Australia.
