Assistance for retrenched workers from the Hazelwood mine and power station in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria

The Government has today announced it will provide a $3 million structural adjustment package to support retrenched workers and their partners from the Hazelwood mine, power station and supply chain businesses in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria.

This assistance will help those directly impacted by providing intensive career transitioning services through jobactive, the Government’s recruitment service, helping them to re-connect with work as quickly as possible. They will also have access to the “What’s Next” website, which provides a range of information and self-help resources.
