    Owners of Gullwing Mechanics Stefan and Kelly first heard about Youth Jobs PaTH internships through their local jobs provider. Interested to see whether Youth Jobs paTH would help them find a young person who would fit into their small businesses they offered Janaya an internship. Immediately impressed by her enthusiasm and how she approached her work with interest and care they were pleased to offer Janaya an apprenticeship.

    Robyne is a director of Kepa Kurl in Esperance, which consists of an Aboriginal art gallery and gift shop, as well as a beach side coffee shop. She was looking for a young person to take on in her business and decided to use Youth Jobs PaTH.

    Robyne trialled and hired Anastasia, who is now loving her new life.

    The Holden Transition Centre has been set up to respond to the closure of the auto manufacturing industry. It is designed to assist former employees and assist businesses wanting to recruit from the pool of people exiting auto manufacturing. The centre functions as a way for businesses and exiting auto manufacturing employees to connect with each other. It provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for information about where the employment opportunities are and will be in the next 2-3 years. Holden’s Transition Support program will continue to prepare job seekers for new careers and support those opting for retirement for up to two years after the factory closed. This video profiles some people who have benefitted from the Transition Centre.

    Michael and Liam were both looking hard for permanent work and had loads of untapped potential.

    Through the Youth Jobs PaTH program, they landed an opportunity to trial at Kik Coffee, which enabled them to show their skills, bring new ideas to the business and ultimately help Kik Coffee branch out in to other areas.

    This has had a wonderful impact on their confidence and improved the lives of both Michael and Liam.
