The Department of Jobs and Small Business undertakes all procurement consistent with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Commonwealth Competitive Neutrality Policy.

Department tenders

All Department of Jobs and Small Business tenders are managed through the AusTender website.

Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP)

For Commonwealth contracts valued at $7.5 million (GST inclusive), Commonwealth entities are required to include minimum requirements for employing Indigenous Australians and using Indigenous enterprises in the contractor’s supply chain. A definition of the minimum requirements is located on the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet’s website.

Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018

From 20 April 2019, the Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018 (the Act) will be in effect. The Act enables a supplier to raise complaint with the department about a contravention of the relevant Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
