CTA will be trialled in five CTA Trial Regions before the scheduled national rollout in July 2020. The five CTA Trial Regions are:

- Somerset, Queensland
- Central West, New South Wales
- Adelaide South, South Australia, and
- Perth North, Western Australia.
The Department of Jobs and Small Businesses conducted research which identified the two key factors which Employers believe mature age job seekers need to address to improve their employment prospects—the first is ensuring that their skills are up-to-date and the second is the need to improve their basic computer and technology skills. Many older Australians looking for work have spent many years working in industries that are now in decline. To be competitive in the job market, they need support to increase awareness of labour market changes, and to translate their transferable skills to meet the requirements of potential Employers.
Closed: Monday 19 February 2018 at 12.00 noon (Canberra time).
