Participants will have access to the program for at least 12 months. Participants will initially be assessed on their barriers and assisted to develop a plan setting out their goals in relation to relocation areas and employment.
Following this, participants will have a one-on-one meeting with a Get Moving Mentor who will support the participant to work towards the goals in their Get Moving Plan.
In the next phase, participants will be assisted to relocate in line with their Get Moving Plan, including: where appropriate, a Youth PaTH internship or paid work trial, and temporary accommodation, to help them trial a move to a new employment role and location.
Participants will also receive additional support to settle in to the new location, including: assistance with local transport options, help to set-up utilities and internet, assistance to purchase household items and, as required, help to move in items and unpack.
Participants will also be assisted to commence employment within two weeks of relocating to the new area, and ongoing support to settle into employment. Participants will have access to their Get Moving Mentor on a daily basis during the first month and on a weekly basis from the second month onwards to help them maintain their employment.
In the final stage, participants will be provided with a plan to exit the program and to connect them to any ongoing support services as required (e.g. counselling, health, training or employment services).
